So long non-structured life! About a month ago I started a second job that provides me with a consistent work schedule. Combined that with my adoption job, and I got my work cut out for me. It's been nice to be busy and to be earning money again.
I like both jobs so far, though the adoption one exhausted me recently. I had a client that took so much extra effort and energy to work with. She was my first to have her baby and complete her adoption plan. It was not your typical case, although no case is typical. I learned a lot throughout the experience, but am glad it's over. On to the next one. I don't mean to sound harsh or lacking in empathy, but part of the reason I chose adoption work is because there is an end-- closure.
I work well when there is closure.
